Low-Maintenance Scrubber Solutions
Design for Minimal Maintenance
This scrubber is designed for minimal maintenance while maintaining high gas cleaning efficiency. It operates with a closed-loop pump system, circulating washing liquid from an integrated buffer tank. Fully removable spray lances equipped with tangential, clog-resistant nozzles generate fine droplets for effective particle and gas capture.
Open Spray System Without Internals
Overlapping spray patterns simultaneously clean the interior of the washing section, eliminating the need for a packed bed or other internal components. As a result, pressure loss is minimized and maintenance requirements are significantly reduced compared to conventional absorbers with internals such as packing, support plates, and hold-down grids.
Excellent Accessibility and Serviceability
Due to its open and robust construction, the scrubber offers excellent accessibility. During maintenance, all critical components can be easily reached, inspected, or removed without extensive dismantling. This contrasts strongly with packed columns or absorbers containing internals, where maintenance is often time-consuming and labor-intensive.
Reliable Operation Under Variable Conditions
The simple design results in high reliability and makes the scrubber suitable for continuous operation with fluctuating flow rates as well as intermittent processes. Limited maintenance, combined with easy access via dedicated inspection hatches, leads to reduced downtime and minimal loss of production time.
Key Advantages of the Low-Maintenance Design
- Reduced operating costs due to low energy consumption and minimal maintenance activities.
- High availability and uptime, as maintenance can be performed quickly and efficiently.
- Superior accessibility compared to absorbers with internals, enabling faster inspection and cleaning.
- No packed bed or complex internals, eliminating common sources of fouling and blockage.
- Stable operation over a wide operating range, even under fluctuating process conditions.
Integration and Installation Flexibility
Overall, this scrubber provides a cost-effective and reliable gas cleaning solution with low maintenance demands, low operating costs, and minimal impact on production continuity. Limited maintenance is required due to the absence of a packed bed and other internals such as support plates and hold-down grids. Inspection is facilitated through two dedicated access hatches. The scrubber exhaust can be connected directly to an existing chimney.
